Get on it and then hit the button to raise it back up. This will lower the elevator down for you. On the farside of the pond, you will find the elevator platform which will let you get into your new residence. Go to the far side of the pond in front of Fizztop Mountain. You do need to go through the shopping area first though. This is a good time to explore a little, but you will be getting a tour of Nuka World soon enough. In front of you you will find a few Raiders hassling one of their slaves. Having made it outside to Nuka World itself, you will find some of the Raider factions at play.
As long as he is in Nuka-Town USA, Gage will be available as a special trader, providing goods from his personal stash.Exit out of the bumper car arena and then it is time to start exploring Nuka World itself and make your way to Fizzy Mountain and meet with Gage. Inserting an extra fusion core into the spaceship during Trip to the Stars to make the Hubologist's heads explode.

Gage is a raider companion, and as such, will react positively towards negative deeds. use of most crafting stations, particularly weapons crafting Home Sweet Home: Gage introduces the Sole Survivor to Shank, who is responsible for setting up incursions of the Commonwealth into motion. 
The Grand Tour: To make the raider gangs mean something, the Sole Survivor has to seize all five of the major park attractions and assign them, in which Gage is available to help. After this quest is completed, he becomes available as a permanent companion. An Ambitious Plan: Gage outlines his plan for the local raider gangs, and guides the Sole Survivor along the way of keeping everyone together. Taken for a Ride: Porter rigs the contest so that the Sole Survivor becomes the next Overboss.
